Put people first.
Help them grow.
I believe people do their best work when they know their leader listens, cares about their growth, and will help them work through a challenge.
Over more than 13 years in B2B sales and leadership, I’ve learned that leading a team starts with understanding the people on it. What motivates them? Where do they need support? What are they capable of becoming with the right coaching?
“[Nick] has continuously found ways to increase sales, reduce defection, and institute a team culture of trust, accountability, and performance. … [Nick] has a natural talent for seeing people and reaching them in ways that they understand.”
Stay close to the people and the work.
I spent more than 12 years at WM, progressing from Account Manager to Sales Supervisor, Inside Sales Manager, and Market Sales Manager in Southern New England. Having started as a seller, I understand the pressure of a difficult customer conversation, a stalled deal, and a month that isn’t going to plan.
That perspective shapes how I lead. I want people to bring challenges forward early, ask questions without feeling judged, and leave a coaching conversation knowing what to do next. Clear expectations and accountability work best when people trust the person setting them.
Across my career, I’ve delivered more than 10 years above 120% of goal for growth and retention. I connect that performance to the daily work of leadership: developing people, strengthening customer relationships, and helping the team follow through consistently.
Measure your leadership by who grows.
One of the accomplishments I’m proudest of is the talent I’ve helped develop. My coaching and mentorship contributed to more than 15 promotions into leadership and specialist roles. Six people who worked directly for me went on to lead sales teams of their own.
Those relationships matter to me. Developing someone means learning how they think, giving honest feedback, recognizing progress, and creating opportunities for them to take on more responsibility. I want to help people build confidence and judgment they can carry into their next role.
Bring steadiness through change.
As Vice President of Growth at CSC ServiceWorks, I led a multi-market commercial organization across the Eastern U.S. I helped expand the team while strengthening onboarding, coaching, and communication through organizational change. My focus was giving people clearer priorities, consistent support, and ownership of their work.
At CSC, I was among the first leaders to apply AI to practical sales problems. Before the enterprise platform was in place, I built agents in ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to help representatives evaluate competitive offers, prepare for contract negotiations, and analyze accounts.
That work led to an invitation to support the Salesforce Agentforce implementation. I developed prompts and helped train sales users, translating complex capabilities into practical guidance. My plan for an SDR agent to support prospecting and meeting scheduling became the implementation team’s blueprint for the build.
The part I value most is helping people feel capable using something new. Useful technology starts with a real business problem, clear explanations, and support as the team learns.
What you can expect from me.
I’ll listen before making assumptions, give direct feedback with respect, and follow through on what we agree to do. As your fractional VP of Sales, I’ll help you build a team where people understand the expectations, have support to meet them, and see a path to grow.
I’m based in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and work with B2B service businesses across New England and remotely nationwide.
